Second Day of Navaratri

Second day of Navaratri is dedicated to Goddess Brahmacharini in most parts of India. ‘Brahma’ here refers to Sannyasin. This form Durga is two-armed and carries a rosary and sacred water pot (Kamandalu). Goddess Tara and Goddess Chamunda are also worshipped on the day in western region and some parts of North India.
